Hate to get out of bed in the AM? Try these ideas:

  1. Start by remembering that everyone around you wants the same thing you do: success. Use this wisdom to build relationships that foster stronger communication.
  2. Master your focus. Because we can only focus on one thought at a time, take care in choosing what you focus on – and practice strategies that allow you to maintain a healthy focus.
  3. Instead of pushing for results, go upstream by first creating the environment that delivers great results. Use methods to take advantage of all interactions with others so that trust builds, solutions are developed, and elephants flee.

Elephants are present?

While their size may be limited, their affect on your company's health is certain.
You and your team must act quickly in order to ensure that a healthy future is secured. Take these steps to impact the culture in which you work – and the results created:

  1. Address the elephant in the room. State clearly what’s important to you and why, and in a way that builds people, relationships, and results for the long term.
  2. Ask the right sort of questions. Instead of seeking answers to things that destroy trust, accountability, engagement and results, ask questions that address the elephant and move issues forward.
  3. Explore your Leadership Blind Spots. Build relationships with people so they can be candid and transparent with you.

A Wellness CultureSM prevails!

Here are three suggestions to continue the momentum and deliver even stronger results:

  1. Look for opportunities to celebrate progress and results at work. This can be done in one minute in the hallway. Ensure that you identify who and what created the results.
  2. Practice asking even stronger questions. Tap others’ ideas for stronger execution. And don’t settle for just getting their ideas – find out about their motivations!
  3. Continue to assist others in mastering their focus. Identifying what they want to have happen – instead of what they don’t – will secure a strong future.
